First time at the Beach

Yesterday I took Sierra to Sandy Point Beach up at Lucky Peak Lake. This was her first time at the beach and I was excited to see how she would like it. When we first got there she was excited to see all the people and the different atmosphere. We walked down to the beach area and I started to place her on the sand and she totally freaked out. She wasn't thrilled with the way the sand felt beneath her feet. I think she felt unstable and the sand felt different to her. She wouldn't stand up so I placed her down on her butt. She sat there for a long time kind of whining to herself then she decided to give it another try. She still wasn't to sure-footed, but after I took her hand she decided to try and walk. It was a funny site, she scooted her feet very carefully and slowly, like she was walking on sharp rocks. Then she abruptly sat down and decided that walking was out of the question! After that I had to carry her if I wanted to move, but she didn't even like it when I walked on the sand. She started to have more fun after we ate our lunch and sun-bathed together. We sat by the water and she had a blast picking up the sand and chucking it into the lake (and at me sometimes). All in all, it was a great time and Sierra looked adorable in her red bikini!

Trip to San Fransisco w/ daddy

In march Justin took Sierra to his home town of San Fransisco, CA to visit his family. They got to see his two sisters, his brother, his dad and mom, and Sierra's 3 cousins...Allysa (9 yrs old), Blaine (21 months), and Jaylene (23 months). Sierra had a great time and I'm totally jealous that I wasn't there to see all the kids together. But, here are a few pictures of the trip...Justin took over 200 pictures so I had to sift through them and pick my favorites.

Sierra is slowly warming up to taking her baths. She has a good time playing with her toys. She's not much of a splasher, like most kids are, but she splashes every once in a while. She's also doing better at letting me clean her up. She use to scream and fuss when I washed her hair, but I've learned a few distraction tricks to help her cope with it. Hopefully by summer she will be over her fear of water and I'll be able to take her to the pool.

Morning time at our house..

This is what true "bed head" looks like. I took the photo this morning while Sierra was watching her Baby Einstien video. And, if you look below, you will see how my other baby wakes up in the morning...

17 Month Old Princess

This is one of the pictures taken at KiddieKandids in California. Sierra and her cousins had a photo opt the other day and the pictures turned out fabulous! Their outfits were just the cutest and I'm so proud of Justin for doing Sierra's hair and making her look wonderful!

Above left to middle: Blaine, Jaylene, Sierra, and Allysa

Justin took Sierra to California last Sunday to visit his family. He and Sierra are staying with his sister, Jessica, who lives on the base there. They also got to visit his dad in San Fransisco, his mom, and his other sister, Jazmin in San Jose. Blaine is Jessica's son and Allysa and Jaylene are Jazmin's girls. I'm a bit jealous that I didn't get to go, but I guess it would have been wierd since Justin and I aren't together anymore. Although I'm jealous that he gets to watch the cousins interact and be cute together. Oh well, I guess it's his turn. I'm just glad Sierra is having such a great time there and that Justin keeps me informed and sends me pictures all the time.

I gave Sierra a bath and afterwards she decided to take all the toys out of the tub herself (after I started to dress her, but never got to finish). LIke most kids, Sierra loves to be naked! The other night she was pushing around her little mobile toy in the nude and it was the most hillarious thing I ever saw...Justin and I couldn't stop laughing. The funniest part was how proud she looked; like she had just gotten away with something.

After the bath it was dinner time, my favorite time (except for the part where I have to make the food). I wanted to take a few pictures because Sierra's beautiful curly hair looked so good!
