PB&J = Happy Day

I love it when Sierra is happy and she's always happy when she's eating PB&J!
The only problem is that it's very messy and Sierra gets fussy when her hands are dirty (such a girl).
She's just so darn cute!

I'm not in the mood to write much tonight...long story, short, Sierra took a fun bath and then lounged on her favorite chair before going to bed. The end.

OCD

Let me explain these photos. Sierra was playing in her lid/tupperware drawer last night and she would take a bowl or lid out and then she would place a coco puff in the bowl or lid. When she ran out of lids she started placing two or three coco puffs in the containers. Then she put all the coco puffs back into her spill-proof bowl and returned all the containers to the drawer. It was very organized and she was concentrating very hard on her task.

How Cute is She!?

Sierra is so cute! She does so many adorable things that are unique to her. Here are some of the things she does that I think are worth putting in my memory bank and embarrassing her with later on in life:
  • She has a slight case of OCD and she shows it by always having to have everything in its' place and just so. One good example is her books, she likes to throw all of her books off the bookshelf and then put them all back. Except, unlike most kids, she puts them back in an orderly fashion, backs of the books facing out, all aligned and stacked neatly. It's quite impressive!

  • She reads to herself when no one's around. I sometimes quietly walk by Sierra's room and find her sitting on the floor, book opened, and reading to herself in her wierd little-kid language. She also likes to read to me, she'll sit on my lap with her book and help me turn the pages while she reads along. (This is all cute because she can't read, she's just pretending.)

  • She has a drawer in the kitchen that she's allowed to play in. It has lids and tupperware in it. She will take the items from the drawer and place them on the floor in an orderly fashion. All lids facing up, all bowls sitting upright, etc. Again, an OCD thing. Then she will return them to the drawer, shut the drawer and then turn on the oven light and say "lite"...it never fails to happen in that order.

  • When Sierra gets upset she will give me a stern, dirty look and slap her stomach. She sometimes stomps her foot for emphasis.

  • Unlike other children, Sierra doesn't fight me when it's time for bed. At 8pm I say "Sierra grab your stuff, it's time for bed." She will then put her pacifier in her mouth, pick up her blanket with one arm and pick up Elly (her little blanky) with the other and walk over to her crib. I will pick her up, kiss her, and lay her down. No fussing.

There are so many other things that she does, but I don't want to bore you all. I will mention the rest later. Sierra is the cutest!!
