Peek A Boo

Sierra is growing so much! When people ask me how my baby is doing I always correct them and say "she's a toddler now." I mean, look at her, she's so big and strong and smart! Everyday she amazes me in some new way. Like the way she concentrates on putting her shaped blocks into the correct shaped hole. Or how she watches me intently and then copies me exactly. Or, how she knows that when I put her shoes on she's going somewhere and she brings me my shoes then heads to the door. She's also turning into quite the handful, she's very stubborn and fiesty. I would like to take a video of her when she's mad so you could see how cute it is, but once that camera is out she won't be mad anymore. Anyway, she does this cute thing when I tell her "no" that I just love (although I have to pretend I don't love it). She furrows her brow and stomps her foot, while at the same time slapping her hands together really hard. Like she's hitting herself or threatening to hit me. It sounds bad, but it's SO cute and funny! Which brings up something else she did a couple times that was really sweet. I think she learned to hit from someone at daycare...anyway, she got mad at me and hit me and I said "NO" and she looked confused and sad and then she gently rubbed me where she had hit me. Like she was trying to make it feel better. It was really sweet! She did again and the same thing happened. She's learning, slowly, that hitting isn't good.

The other day she was hiding under the sink and I took a quick video of it. She's the one opening and shutting the door...

Cameryn used to do something similar when I would tell her no. She would tell me no then smack her own hand. It was so hard not to laugh. I'm not sure what she thought that would accomplish but it was so funny.
